Got a feeling this is not as straight forward as it may first appear. Information/experience appreciated. When I unscrewed the existing gearknob it remained inside the gaiter due to what I assume is a collar at the end of the ****. This obviously keeps the gaiter in position. Not sure if you can squeeze this through the top of the gaiter or if you have to remove the gaiter first. Also do you have to purchase a locking ring of some sort along with the new gearknob?

Thanks
Mike

Unscrew the existing geat **** - then pull the gaiter off.

The Momo is attached by 3 grub screws that tighten with an Allen key.

The gaiter holds itself up - I've had mine fitted for 4 years and it still looks fine.

BTW you have to tighten the screws really tight - I also keep the allen key in the car as it has woirked loose before now !

Yep - old gearknob pulls straight out. Is a plastic collar that keeps it up. Select the plastic bracket that fits the gearstick thread the tightest. I did it without at first and the grub screws then bore a hole into the thread

I also keep my allen key in the glovebox. Has only worked loose once before and that was cos I didnt use the rubber bracket.

Simon.
