air con stopped working

My 2001 WRX (uk version) has stopped blowing out cold air when I switch the aircon on. I'm wondering if this is related to a flat battery that was caused by the car being left standing for 2 weeks when I was on holiday. Had Subaru Assitance out to start the car .. since then the aircon has stopped working. Could this be a fuse.. how do I find out? Also, is it normal for the imob / alarm to drain the battery completely within 15 days of none use?
