Unhappy

I desperately need to change my old "Toyota Corolla" steering wheel for a newer Momo type one.
Is this possible with the airbag to consider?

Ive done it,not that hard to do but dont expect the Momo to be any smaller, its still huge but it is nice and leathery.

Btw if youre not mechanical minded get a professional to do it.

Where did you get the wheel and fitting kit from and did you have problems with the airbag light?

I bought the Momo steering wheel from the breakers, fars as i know theres no fitting kit.

All i done was..disconnect the battery, leave for 20mins,undo the steering wheel, unplug the airbag connector and splice my old connector to the new Momo, reconnect, bolt up the Momo, job done.

DONT do it if you are worried about the bag going off!!!

Btw my airbag light does as factory,on when started and off after 5 secs.

Cheers for the info. mate. At least there is potential for getting rid of the oe one.

Probably get somebody else to do it as I will more than likely set the bag off!

Great thanks I'll have a go. How much did you pay for the wheel and from which breakers?

I think it was around £150 but ive seen them go for around £250-£300 newer the wheel.

Before you have a go,do a search on scoobynet for"Momo Steering wheels" first and read other people posts.
