this is our lasses way of getting air con at a cheaper price in her fiesta



i said no no no, you cant have it like that and had to do a bit of bubblegum welding

dave I aint taking the **** but that is bad... you need to go up a power setting... when welding it should sound like bacon being fried..

I had a similar mod on my first car, clarted it with underseal before relaying carpet - good as new.

Not bad for a first attempt.

dave, the floor was that thin i had the mig set to 1 max and wire feed set to 5. any higher i just had more holes cuming up
piece of s#it ford

mike > i undersealed it all b4 sticking the carpet back down
no more rust cuming there
and underneith also

sounds like a portable clarke mig...

It can be done, depends what speed you try and weld it at, power settings, gas flow etc...

this is mine.... only photo I could find..

Dan,

tig welding is cheating.... it a lot neater welding process... i can weld like that with my mig on a good day, besides welding not about looks, its about strength..

but that does look nice.

I know nowt about welding, but my mate does he works welding pressurized tankers and makes those huge trailers for trucks.... hes being doing it for years.... also the welder he used cost about £15,000 i think.. so that might help..!!
