Dynamat application
I have upgraded the speakers in my bugeye and now have a bit of rattling/vibration when I turn up the sound. I have been told that I will need to put dynamat into the doors, on the door cards etc. Can anyone tell me where exactly this should be applied. How much I will need? If anyone has instructions this would help a lot.
Should I get an expert to do it or is it easy enough for a novice to do?
Thanks in advance!

Silent coat works well. Definitely do the outer skin, three sheets should suffice. With the inner skin, cover as much as you can but remember that it's a law of diminishing returns. You can do the whole door, sure but you can save a fair bit too is you tap a section of metal, apply a small piece of SC and tap again to see if the panel still resonates. Continue doing the whole door this way until no part of the panels resonate. I'd also suggest covering as many whole as possible, so you create more of a sealed enclosure, that improves bass. You can apply it to the door card to, although a thick foam covering works better.
You should greatly reduce your door vibration and the doors will now close with a satisfyingly Germanic thunk. However, what you'll now find is that the vibrations have been moved to another panel in the car. So you may spend a while chasing them around the car.
I spent a lot of time doing mine but they'll still vibrate if you try and run too much bass through them. I have my fronts set at 120hz as if I drop them any lower at volume, the door hums. I'd suggest getting a proper sub in the boot for low tones, regardless of what volume you play at.
