Default Central locking Q's

Bit confused on if central locking is present on the Type R's. Is central locking present and just need a wire up or is there nothing there at all?

Need to get a Cat 1 for it as well and theres a £100 increase to include remote locking if needed

As far as I recall from my 97 Subaru which I would think is the same as the type R. The car had central locking key operated. However, in order to get remote central locking a solenoid was added to the drivers door. This was done when I had a CAT 1 alarm fitted as in those days the car didn't come fitted with an alarm.

Because the central locking is key operated there is no solenoid in the drivers door, hence the need to add it for remote central locking.
