Default Thanks to Gary Moulson but...

As title thanks to Gary for sorting out my insurance BUT I think Keith Michaels could send the insurance reminders out a little earlier (2 weeks perhaps?) as getting hold of him is bloody difficult (even via email and pm)when you have to declare changes which may affect the renewal price (i.e speeding, mods etc) and the extra week would give plenty more time to contact him

I'm not saying it's late Gary (no idea when you sent it) just that in this case I recieved it on Friday afternoon, post is delivered late in the afternoon unfortunately so i lost 2 days worth of trying to contact you and lets's face it you're harder to contact than Lord Lucan sometimes

My policy turned up today which is fantastic service as I have to echo Einstein RAs comment just that perhaps sending it out earlier would be more useful to the customer in case they do have naughty to things to admit

Not saying gary does the same, but I know most companies do it for exactly that reason. You don't have time to be without the car so remind you at the latest possible time so you don't have time to go somewhere else and haggle etc

We certainly don't do that, if we sent them out too late people wouldn't get them in time and they wouldn't renew, which definitely wouldn't be good for business.

I totally agree with the comment on late renewal quotes.
I've been with K.M. for quite a few years now, and I can't ever remember getting my renewal quote until after the expiry date. Its quite obvious to me that this "bad business practice" is actually good for business as customers just let it auto-renew.
This has never bothered me before as I've always renewed by that method. However, this year is different. I no longer have my Impreza on the road and I've bought another car. I needed to provide proof of ncd by 16th Aug. My Impreza insurance runs out in a couple of days, and K.M. have failed yet again to provide me with a renewal quote.
My new insurance co. has now threatened to cancel my insurance if I fail to provide proof of ncd by the 23rd.

We do not auto-renew policies enless on DD, so that point is invaild for a start.

I assume you have notified us you've gone elsewhere and have requested your NCB, not just waiting for it to be sent?

We give all our customers approx 28-30 days to get their documents to us, so it seems a bit harsh your new insurers are putting so much pressure on you at such an early stage.

Feel free to PM me your details and i'll make sure the NCB has been sent out already.

I've been off this week, today was first day back.

If the renewal is in the next 10 days it would have already been sent.

Feel free to pm me your details and I'll have a look.... as I've not got any pm's from you

Basically, this. Always had excellent service from Gary to the point now that I don't even look round because I know no one beats him and documents have always turned up within 24hrs of renewing. Faultless service

Insured with Keith michaels. Just can't understand why he is never allowed to have a break from work. Obviously enjoys cars so comes on here and gets badgered. Always seems polite to others on here but I was the company I was put onto so it is whoever answers the phone that I deal with an to be fair in my experience they have been excellent. I enjoyed the Moley hater the other week. 2.87 out of his own pocket. **** funny.
No complaints and decent premiums. Not arsed when my letter comes out as long as my cover maintains
