I went with Adrian flux, I got a jdm type 20 all mods declared turbo alloys ect im 25 think 5 years no claims 3points and got it for around 1000. They are really helpful also when dealing with them. Give them a call nothing to lose apart from maybe a 1000 bucks lol

Try A-Plan.

I've got a JDM 2006 Forester STi - all mods (330bhp, leather interior re-trim etc etc) declared. I'm 35 with 9 years NCB for £470 a year...

Hi guys,

I've been looking to buy an STi (either UK or JDM). I'm 27, 3 years NCB, no points and I can get quotes of £575 for a UK car but not lower than £2,000 for a JDM. Any tips?

Cheers in advance.

Who are you trying for quotes?

Try Keith Michaels, A Plan, Greenlight, Sky and Adrian Flux.

And please let us know how you get on.

Yeah, I was just quite surprised as people who own the JDM cars say that their insurance is comparable to UK special editions like RB320.

I guess it's down to so many variables, especially experience and location. But, mine is comparable to quotes I had on UK modified Impreza STi's. I guess it's just luck of the draw.
