extra premium for back box
#1
Got a dilema!
My renewal has come thru at £911.
Got a quote from Keith Michaels for £775 and i can keep my GGR back box (only mod).
Churchills have quoted £592 but i need to put my standard back box on.
Big saving plus what i can sell the back box for.
Is it worth it?
Help me make my mind up!

My dilema has now been solved.
Phones Churchills to get an idea what the premium will be if i change car to a new WRX or STI within the next 6 months, as this is my intention.
For the WRX they quoted me in excess of £1100 and say they cannot insure STI as it is an import, i told them it was a type UK but their system did not believe me.
When i queried the £1100 i was told that the performance of the WRX is far greater than my existing turbo and the increased value justifies nearly double the premium.
It also seems that Churchills quote cheap to get new business as me renewal quote from them last year was £200 dearer then a new quote for this year.
The lesson i have learnt is to insure with people that know what they are talking about and not some snotty nose who probably thinks Novas are quick.
