Default Insurance / Modifications

Hi,
Has anyone ever been stopped by the Police / VOSA and had their insurance checked to see if any modifications on the car are mentioned on the policy? Just curious considering the huge price increases some insurance companies add for modifications.

If you cannot insure the car properly, you might as well not bother.

hum mine was cheaper with the mods declared through a specialist on hear if its modified and you don't declare them your insurance is void so if you hit someone be prepared to loose your licence and a huge load of cash

as said above if you cant afford to insure it properly don't mod it as when you have a crash you will find out its invalid.
