Can insurers mirror van ncb?
Hi,
First post here so first off hello!
I'm finally at an age where I can semi afford the insurance for a car I have long coveted from being a teen. It's likely to be a standard early model blob eye 2002 ish, so around 2-3k. I will only be using for max 5k miles a year.
Anyhow I've been getting reasonable quotes based on 3 years no claims that I've got on my van. I was wondering if anywhere can mirror these or if I should take the ncb from the van policy?
It's a bit of a pain as I've been insured on my mrs policy as named driver for ever now and only got van and motorbike ncb (3 year and 7 year).
I had a Lotus Elise a few years back and they (competition car insurance) mirrored her Ncb from our daily driver.
So anyone know about this?

Ok fair enough, is it ok to call for a speculative quote even though I don't have the car yet? If so should I ask for anyone specific to speak with about this?
