hard to comment without your details, feel free to PM these to me and I will be happy to shed light on the quotation refusal.
I'm not sure a quote refusal means we are a joke but of course, you are entitled to your opinion. Are the other specialists quoting on it?
Thank you

Hi,
thanks for the PM, I've replied with the specific reasons why we are unable to place this onto our car club scheme. Thanks for trying us and apologies we couldn't help.

Wouldn't say they were a joke at all. I've used them for my first Impreza (unmodified btw) and they really were great, they even managed to beat Molely on price.
They will go even higher in my expectations if they don't charge for a change of address on my policy (excluding any change in premium obviously!) lol!

He's after a quote on an unmodified GX FFS, what does he expect, I'd be very surprised if you weren't able to get the best price from any of the usual comparison sites, i.e. MoneySupermarket, Confused, etc. No need to deal with a specialist unless you have a modified, turbo charged Scooby

We go by what the customer tells us, if the customer non-discloses then it's likely it will come back and bite them so that's their look out. Perhaps Moley might pick up on it if he reads this thread. I'm interested to see what the other specialists make of this risk as well..

'if' it's un moddified, standard car... the compare sites shouldn't have any problem quoting. Its not a perforance car so no issue... or is there?

least the big sticker on the car saying GX lets the car thief know they're not stealing a real turbo car for joy riding lol

The fact that it is a GX is not the real issue here. The issue is you start a thread slating Sky Insurance as they will not insure your car as it is not modified. Fair enought as they usually insure performance and modified cars.
Later in the thread it comes to light that your car is quite heavily modified as it looks like an Impreza turbo.
The REAL issue is you are trying to insure your car as a standard vehicle when quite clearly it is not

You've said it.
There's on Issue with a GX being insured its fraudulent trying to get insurance on a car that has clearly been altered to look like something else.

The car was insured last year with admiral standard because it was at the time!the work its had done recentley is a exshaust and some wheels that's it,saying its heavily modified I think is a extreme.....I asked for a quote for when it was standard as the car was,its currently sorn at the minute BUT if it does go on the road they will no about the HEAVY modifications

The fact that it is sorn is irrelevant. If someone decides to "borrow" your wheels or your exhaust and you have not declared this to your insurance company, yep you guessed it. Your insurance company WILL NOT pay out.
If someone "borrows" the car, dumps it and your insurance company recover the car and find out the wheels are different from what you have on your insurance once again they WILL NOT pay out!
Its not difficult just declare the modifactions to the insurance company like 99% of the members on here do.
