Default Would this effect ncb

I have 8yrs no claims on my private car and have a company car that I've found out I'm third party on.

At the weekend when I was massively ill I miss judged the wall and scraped all Down the side of the car. I call my company and it's all booked in to be fixed. £900 of damage that by the looks of things I don't need to pay.

Would this effect my private Ncb? Would I declare hitting my own wall on my own land at 7mph when renewing my private policy?

If you're claiming on the company policy for damage you caused i assume you're fully comp, not third party?

If it is the company policy you are claiming on then if won't effect the NCB on your private policy, but you'd need to declare the claim, and it will probably increase your premium.

Thanks for the reply. turns out they are only 3rd party as they save money this way as apposed to fully comp.

They are just going to pay a pannel company to fix it. Guess I get to keep quiet?

If anyone has a claim they need to declare it, and some insurers will load for those claims.

If he has had a claim via company etc then they see him at risk via his private insurance, it stinks yes but hey these insurance company's love making extra money. But it's been sorted without insurance so win win.

So you think that if someone has had 4-5 claims on a company policy, they shouldn't have to pay more on their own car than someone who has never had a claim?

eh read my post I'm on your side here, I said insurers see him as more risk if he has claimed on company policy and has told his private policy. so yes he should pay more

But seen as his company are paying for this themselfs without contacting insurers then it won't be flagged so non the wiser, although I see your point.

Apologies, i thought the part about ''it stinks'' and the insurers ''love making more money'' ment you disagreed with it.

Although yes, you are correct, with a fault claim declared they would see him as a higher risk

I'm not a very good explainer lol but saying it stinks is more of a dig at insurers as people hate to part with their cash.(soz Gary) now get to bed, unless your not in tmr.

But you can't resist as its in your blood now it's become life.

So anyways, have you still got the blob then or is it gone? Or are you being greedy and having both?

Got both at the moment.
The plan was to keep the Classic and sell the Blob... but after actually driving the thing i fell back in love with it!
Keeping both for a while, then decide which to keep... probably the Blob TBH

If its through the companies insurance then i wouldnt bother reporting it to your own insurance company as they're never gonna find out anyway. Car insurance is a fooking rip off anyway, if you dont fart in the right tone they try and load your premium for it.

**** helping them take even more money off ya to put towards their home improvements. Its not like youve hit anyone else is it, you damaged your own car on your own wall.

Keep it quiet, get the car repaired and say no more about it.

I assume you are referring to the OP's situation, and not claims in company cars in general?

If he had made a claim on the companies policy insurers WOULD know about it

Most company's have access to a database that gives them details of any claims or convictions on your name no matter which insurance company you've been with company/private
Unless you have forged diffrent names

The repairs don't go through the insurance. I phoned lex autolease - car owners and said I hit a wall, I imagine the insurance rang me as they asked all accident related questions.
All drivers are third party as XEROX (my company who lease the cars) see it cheaper to pay repairs as and when as aposed to fully comp.
I imagine the repairs will show up on an internal database within lex to keep the cars history but will they say to the insurers, although it didn't go through the insurance, the following repairs have been done?

I guess the only way to know is for moley to do a check on me

Assuming the insurers aren't paying for the repairs it shouldn't go on the database
