AXA bad experience
I have paid for insurance with AXA this evening through gocompare, only to read that my policy summary doesnt include the mods I declared. AXA blame gocompare and told me that I needed to read the cover policy on their website. Fair enough, I did. It said manufacturer parts are covered.
I phoned them, explained that I had manufacturers parts fitted but were not listed. They asked me when they were fitted and I told them about 1 year ago - what a mistake that was. They said that they cover parts fitted by the manufacturer and not manufacturer parts fitted after the production line, that will be £25 to cancel please. Thanks a lot.

Pieces of trim. A front splitter (if you can call it that, its two pieces of small plastic that extend the natural lines by a few mm), a rear trim and a top spoiler. All OEM parts.

Flux direct has just popped up with a lower quote of £517 (£30 less). Phoned Adrian Flux not realising they were different and ended up with a quote of £465
They asked if I was with a car owners club, so I told them about scoobynet and MBUK and it went down to £425!
So in the end it was a blessing that Axa messed up as even including the fee, its a massive saving. Last time I use gocompare I think.
