Would a K reg Subaru Impreza be classed a classic car as its 20 years old now, would i be able to get insured as a classic car policy with mods to the car?

 

Classic insurance can be a little limited on mods, but due to age classic should be available just ring a few companies see how it stands.

Watch out with classic car insurance as you don't usually build up any no claims discount with it. You'll need to check this with the insurer.

I had classic insurance for several years on my old but quite heavily modified Opel Manta with HIC (Herts Insurance Consultants) and they were very keenly priced but, as I said, you don't build up any no claims.

 

Classic insurance isn't so much about the age of the vehicle, it is about your circumstances, eg usually you need to be aged 25, or 30, it needs to be a second car, limited mileage, no commuting, garaged, no of few mods etc etc
