I'm trying to buy a Scooby, but I'm having an insurance nightmare, I'm being treated like a teenager!

I'm 27, 3 years NCB and an SP60 from June 99 (3 points £40) trying to insure a MY94 WRX or UK Turbo in a WA7 postcode parked on the driveway. I'm being quoted £1800+ by nearly everyone.

There's no way in hell I'm shelling out £150 per month for insurance, I could buy another very nice car for that money!

Can anyone help, as this could be the end of my Scooby dream?

I've tried Liverpool Vic and they wouldn't even quote! Adrian Flux were over £2000.

Cool

My boyfriend's 30 with 5 yrs ncb and an SP60 and pays approx £800 with me on the policy as well for our MY01. We're with Greenlight. Incidentally my 62 yr old dad just got insured on his heavily modded UK MY00 with Greenlight too, they were the cheapest. They know what they're talking about too which is a bonus

have you tried elephant.co.uk, they seem to give cheap quotes?
