Lightbulb GREENLIGHT INSURANCE - Expand to cover Japanese Imported/Non-ABI recognised models

Hi Everyone,

We've spent considerable time working upon both systems and schemes, which has resulted in our now able to cater for non-ABI listed vehicles (including Japanese imports/limited editions).

For years we have had to adopt the ABI vehicle schedule in terms of vehicle models, but with effect from now have schemes available to cater for models that are not ABI listed or recognised.

Thanks to those of you who own these models who have shown patience to date.

After all this time of having to turn away some great risks we are really pleased to be able to handle non-ABI recognised models (in particular Japanese imports) we now look forward to hearing from you and would welcome the opportunity to help.

We do recognise that some models will not currently be present upon our online system and where the model is missing our team will be here to assist.

To obtain an accurate, competitive quotation, you will need to call our dedicated quotation team on 01277 376000.

Thanks for listening

Kind regards

Tony

Hi Tony, quick question. How come 3 points for a CU20 for windows tints increases quotes more than 3 points for a SP30? Though this was online quotes through confused.com, just found it strange.

Also how come you target 2001+, where's the classic love?

Hi Micheru,

Thanks for taking the time to post.

We do have schemes that are able to cater for older Impreza models and do cover quite a number of these, so there is still some classic love.

The main proviso we have relates to the value of the vehicle, with most of our schemes being averse to covering high performance models with very low vehicle values.

In our experience, most performance car Insurers will look sympathetically upon an isolated fixed penalty speeding (SP) offence.

As a company we don't see that many CU20 offences, so it's hard to comment specifically about this. Quite a few of the "CU" offences relate to defective parts (inc. bald tyres), or unsafe loading of the vehicle, which can give the impression to Underwriters of a lack of care in the vehicle.

We can refer circumstances to Underwriters, so if your record is good and you can confirm that the tinting has been corrected to the road legal variety we should be ok.

Kind regards

Tony
