What %age can I expect to save if I fit a Cat 1 alarm to my 1.6GL?
Currently paying £1100 with CIS (I'm 18
).

Depends on company, different companies give different reductions if any. I suggest you give your insurer a call or drop them an E-mail asking. They might not give any discount.
If you get a discount I would imagine it to be around 5-10%

a couple of years ago I fitted a CAT1 system to my Landcruiser and got a whopping £1.68 refund from my insurance
