Default Insuring two cars!

Hi,

I am considering getting back into subaru ownership and looking to get a 2005 wrx uk car. I want to keep my cheap honday civic as a run about also.

Does anyone have any expericance of insuring two cars on one policy and know any companies that would be good for it. Does the NCD work with both cars at the same time?

Thanks
Matt

I had an R35 GTR and a Volvo v70 on a multi car policy with admiral and the two on one policy was a grand cheaper than I could insure the GTR on its own elsewhere so I found it cracking value!! They wanted proof of no claims for both cars and wouldn't allow one proof of no claims to cover both cars, fortunately for me I had both individual no claims on policy's to cover both.
I think they can be good and definitely worth exploring.

I couldnt find a competitive dual car policy so ended up putting the WRX in the wifes name and the X5 in mine, in total costs around 1150 per year, full (14 years not that it matters above 5-6) ncb and 2 years ncb on the wife as she was driving my old car while I had a company motor and hers expired by a few months. Both with Greenlight.

I bought a diesel van as my weekday/work car, had to start a new policy and it's a whole new ball game insuring a van! Kept the 12 years no claims on the Subaru and started afresh with the van.
