Default Keith Michaels - Under 25 Year Olds

Hi folks

Please be aware that we do not do quotes for under 25 year olds on Turbo model Subaru's, except for existing customers.

We seem to be getting quite a lot of 19-24 year olds requesting quotes on Subarus, Evos, and especially Skylines, are are not able to quote.

Thanks

Gary

Thank **** i'm an existing customer.

It absolutely sucks that younger people can't drive what they want these days, it's actually disgusting in my view, not a pop at Keith Michaels, but the system as a whole.
I totally understand that young drivers are possibly going to be less experienced but to wait 8 years! Get off it, it should be experience based, be insured and driving for 3 years, i think that's enough.

Thanks
Sam

We insist on a minimum 1 year experience on performance cars before we quote for obvious reasons.

Go Compare don't care about experience, but their claims stats are probably a lot higher than ours.

I wasn't asked on my previous experience when I got a quote last year when I was still only 22(for what it's worth I had a RX-8 231 for 11 months before my Subaru)

I was a bit worried when I read this thread originally despite being an existing customer but when I got my renewal in the post it went down by £170

I know this is a bit of a generalisation but if you go on youtube look at how many young people there are showing off in carparks or trying to turn a 40mph road into an autobahn. Hell, I've seen a video of some kid ROLL a corsa in a carpark with teatrays under the rear wheels

They were given a chance and they screwed it up. I had quite affordable insurance for my first car back in 2006 but I got a comparison website quote(just see what all the fuss is about) with the same details I had back then and it was £2700 more expensive(with the same insurer)

Well that gave me a scare, im 20, my current insurance was through you Moley, I proper shat myself when I first started reading, I could practically see the for sale thread of the scoob going up when the renewal is up next month!

Does this mean that my insurance renewal will be more expensive then? No more Moley Magic so to speak?

Cheers

To be honest with you, I think you should be 30+ to drive a car like this. Reason I say this is because, under 30's tend to be able to wrap the subarus round a lamp post a lot more easier. I work for the emergency services as a trainee emergency medical technician. I've attended loads of car accidents and to be honest, those that were self inflicted were younger lads and the odd girl who couldn't handle there imprezas evos skylines etc
