Cheapest place to insure a run about ?
Its not actually for me, its for a mate thats just after buying a run around for a year or so. He wants the policy in his own name so that he can start to build up his no claims.
He's not long been back in the country after working away for over 10 years, obviously he now has "0" no claims bonus, he's 45 with no convictions or points etc.
The only places i know are the performance specialists, maybe someone like Tesco or LV etc ?

try the comparison sites first, see who comes out best on them, try people like Aviva & Direct line directly.
Once you know who is giving the best quote against the specific car, get onto Quidco (or similar) and see what extra you can get for taking out the policy
It takes a little time but it is worth it in the end.
