Insurance Estimate
29 yo
licence 11 years
0 NCB due to not owning car last 5 years, only driven hire cars on a fairly regular basis through work (they have a tie in with a hire company so don't so company cars) hence no insurance policies to accrue NCBs and I've lost what I had prior to this
NE3 posrcode
Driveway
2003 WRX STI
Only mod would be wrapped matte black
CAT 1 alarm/mob plus tracker
Value of car approx £6000-7000
3000-6000 miles (mainly because I'll also have a have which I will use for running around/taking the big mutts places)
F/comp and TPFT prices only

Will struggle with a modified car unless your company car was high performance too.
We have schemes to mirror your NCD so feel free to call me here.

I have done online quotes and it's only around £1500... if having it wrapped in matte black is going to make those quotes astronomical then i will hold off a year and get an ncb in the car under my belt and see from there... but surely a change in colour (granted matt black wrap) wont make it huge impact (+50% or more) difference??
£1500 for a standard wrx sti seems fine considering im starting from a position of no ncbs, surely?

£1500 is very good.
My advice would be to keep it standard for a year at the £1500, then once you have the years experience you'll find lots more mod friendly companies (Keith Michaels, A Plan, Sky etc) will quote you at renewal.
Some companies don't like wrapped cars though.
