Having seen this thread, I thought I ought to let Direct Line know that I've just changed my backbox on my MY00 to a Scoobysport one. It is considered to be a modification, & it cost me £75 for the rest of the year (10 months to run). Hope that gives you an idea for yours.

Exclamation

Anything which is not standard equipment on a car is technically a modification. Different exhaust, spoilers, airfilters, wheels, anything.
In theory tyres that do not come as standard from the manufacturer could be counted as a mod but if insurance companies were to go that far it would get silly!

Declare anything that you change, especially if it is something obvious like an backbox! Some companies will use any excuse to refuse a claim!
