Insurance help on a Classic STi
Just looking for a bit of advice and hopefully find out what other people are paying as i've done a quick look around and the quotes i'm getting are a lot higher than i was expecting
I'm 24 with 7 years NCB, i don't live in a high risk area, no points
I'm looking to get a classic (98-99) STi and the best quote i've found so far is £1640 ! Granted i've only been on comparison websites (confused.com etc..) but i wasn't expecting it to be that high. I will be phoning up more specialist insurers but before i waste a few hours of my life speaking to them i was hoping any of you could shed some light.
I've currently got a Leon Cupra R and i'm paying £430 (with protected NCB) and that's a group 17. I respect that their an import, group 20 and also seen as more 'nickable' to little ******* wanting to steal a car but 4x as much as i'm currently paying is just plain wrong.
Anyway i was just wondering if anyone could help me out and let me know what should i expect really (whether this is just how much it is or if i should be able to get it a lot cheaper and who to try). Any help is much appreciated.
Cheers in advance
