Beware Internet quotes

I've got a magazine article here stating that we should beware internet quotes as only 1 in 10 are correct when you try & take up the insurance.
I knew of someone who went took up an internet quote from one of the well-known direct companies but they came back & asked him for £200 more saying it was wrong!
I think he went to Chris Knott who were the cheapest but beware others out there!

i tried to get a quote for what my priviledge (can never spell it right) renewel would be and got 520 online, when it came through the post they said 620, i rang them up and they said their website has a discount for new customers (10%, doesn't account for the other 40 quid though) they could get it down to that price if i had 400 excess
