In this situation would the car have been travelling to a PRE-BOOKED MOT test?
If so the insurance would be okay.

If it's totally non-fault, the third party MIGHT do it, but strictly speaking the car is essentially not road worthy as there is no MOT, so to avoid hassle I'd just repair it yourself. Also if you don't have third party details, it will go down as a fault accident anyway, as you don't have anyone to claim against.
