Insurance Subaru Impreza insurance can be expensive, as with any performance car insurance. But the cheapest car insurance isn't always the best. Share your quotes, and experiences.

I cancelled my insurance on a Hyudai Lantra (Bloody awfull car)in April last year as I sold it to save for an inport. Yes folks I have been without a motor for 11 months!. Dedication see. Anyway I enquired at the time what the likely cost of insuring an Impreza would be and my insurance company quoted around £500, Yeah I thought!.Today after weeks of searching companies for the best quote as I suffered a heart attack in 1988 and now suffer from angina. From wouldn`t touch me to between £800 to £1200 was about the norm.So methinks try your old company (Frizzells) re Liverpool Victoria. 74% protected N.C.B. one owner driver, no convictions, no accidents, garaged overnight, 58 y.o.a., they didn`t ask for a thatcher class 1 or tracker, although one will be fitted.North Notts. Insurance arrived this morning, £467.04 including tax.Did I do well or not?.

Trying them 2moro, in fact I have 33 on a list that I'm gonna phone up and see who gives me the cheapest quote, but don't mind paying a 'bit' more for better service.

Harry

At present Frizzell aka London Victoria are the cheapest at £1228
Chriss Knott computers were down when I phoned so they were ringing back, had a missed call on my mobile while in the shower 2nite but number was withheld so I don't know if it was them. Will try them again tomorrow.

BTW Frizzell didn't ask about vehicle security !

when I volunteered the info on Cat 1 alarm and Tracker I was told it didnt't matter to the quote ????

Cant figure how some insurers insist on cat1 & tracker and others dont need anything?
Some big name insurers wouldnt quote on WRX's

Dearest was £2600 from ???? I cant remember?

Got my insurance sorted.
Chris Knott insurance phoned me today as promised and they managed to beat Frizzells quote.

Final quote was £1150 from Chris Knott. Which I've taken.

Tesco's spent a good 10 mins telling me how good their cover is before they finally told me how much...£1458

The woman at Chris Knott (Kathy) was very nice to talk to and seemed to actually know about the car, which was nice

None of the companies wanted any extra for having the Morrettes...
they are listed in Subaru's accessory list so they count as a factory fit option - apparently!

Where would we be without credit cards eh?

BOB

age 36, 1yr NCB, 2xSP30's 1xSP50, 2xNON fault accidents...so £1150 wasn't too bad was it!

Sounds a decent deal Bob (given you history, and all that Mate!).

Look forward to meeting up when we're all sorted. Seems like we could have a bit of a breakaway Northern meet going on....
