Hiya mate,
I did the Nurberg ring this year and asked my insurance company..
They said it's a differercult one but you should be covered third party only..
My brother found the best place was looking on the nurberg ring website, and found a link for cover..its expensive but covers you for everything....
Oh and nurburg ring is wicked mate..you will love it....have fun

Could you point me to the link your brother has found?
My previous insurance didn't mention anything in particular but my new one say they don't cover it. The monkey behind the phone might have thought I would go racing with the car though!

every policy i have had say they dont cover de-restricted toll roads (which the Ring is) and in more recent years they specifically say they wont conver the Nurburgring itself.
So dig out your insurance certificate and take a look if it mentions it in the small print.
I think you will find most people go without, knowing it. And just dont crash, or pay the big bills if they do.
And as said, the 'Ring is like no other place, its amazing.

Not when I enquired about cover for TF sessions What do they cover for £60, just the rolling chassis like most trackdays? armco? 3rd party liability... you spill coolant and a biker goes down on it?
The Nordschleife is a public road you'll probably have 3rd party cover, yes they will try to wriggle out of it but by law they have to cover you 3rd party on a public road.
It's not all de-restricted, there are speed limits at Breidscheid and on the Dottinger Hohe straight.
Whether you don't know the circuit or you know it well, treat the Nordschleife with the greatest respect, every lap you do is one closer to your first accident. I managed >200 laps before I hit the armco
