Question Car Insurer who will not bother about a tracker

My insurance is up for renewal at the end of October but I have had a trackstar renewal notice come through for September . At the moment I am insured through A-Plan and Market Study with all mods declared. Was wondering isThanks there are any other insurers out there who can insure me on my U.K. 53 plate STi with PPP and mods without the tracker? At the moment I pay around £780 a year on fully comp with a stipulation that the car only does 1000 miles a year and is locked up in a garage between dusk to dawn in a radius of 1 mile of where I live.
Thanks

When i insured mine through admiral tracker wasn't an issue, makes no difference to them, they'll be pushing it but they may be able to do something close to that price depending on your particular details

Keith Michaels have never asked me for a tracker install ... may be my age though. How old are you?

BTW I pay well less than you for protected fully comp, unlimited mileage, all mods declared ...

I'm 36 with over 5 years no claims on the present policy. Maybe because of the postcode? Will consider Keith Michaels. I take it they are mod friendly?

I tranfered my insurance from a mazda to a sti import (99) a few weeks back with Elephant, they didn't ask for a tracker.
Might be worth giving then a call.

Cheers for that But my car is less than standard these days. It has a few modded extras which I have delcared to my present insurers. As I recall some of the mainstream insurance companies shut the door in your face when you mention PPP and the like Admiral did this to me when I tried to get multi-car insurance done. Soon as I mentioned Subaru Impreza STI with Prodrive Performance Pack they ran a mile!

Yeah the big names don't like mods, but my Mazda have a custom made rearbox and center pipe and Elephant didn't mind that.
Not sure if they have changed there ways about mods as the STi is standered still. (at the mo )

Admiral / elephant (same company) don't bother if you have a tracker and were fairly reasonable (£450 quoted for me).

Although I am old (35)

With Admiral on Daihatsu YRV turbo on 3rd party insurance. Didn't want to know about the Scoobie I think it's the amount of mods I now have on the car And I'm a year older at 36.

As above I'm with KM, my car has various mods all declared & there's no requirement for a tracker. I'm just a few years older than you so give them a buzz or post in the Insurance Forum on here.

Elephant came up trumps for me this year- £400 for my Hawkeye STi. OK I am 42 so it helps to be an old git I guess! They also continued to insure my old banger of a celica, giving me full no-claims on both cars rather than a discount to match.

They were not that bothered about having a tracker, but I have the Trackstar working all the same. Piece of mind.

I was with Bell (part of the Admiral group) last year and had to pay a small extra fee for having no Tracker activated but it was still a fraction of a years subscription for the Tracker.
My car is insured with Admiral now and they were not bothered if there was a Tracker or not - the car has the PPP fitted and the premium was £375 with pnc.

Default Quote Rack

QuoteRack are brilliant...
They take all your details and pass it on to companies I never knew existed - like Zurich's Specialist Risk department... they're all individually assessed, pretty good!

Thanks all just had the renewal in from A-Plan & marketstudy for £758.75 with 7 years no claims. But that's still with a tracker being activated for the theft policy. Any other recommendations as the policy comes to an end on 28th October.
