Default insurance boffins - NCD question

Hi All,

I have my civic insured with direct line. I have 5 years NCD protected on it.
I am also a named driver on my girlfriends car who is also insured with directline and hence I have another set of 5 years NCD (this has been confirmed by directline).

My question is:

Can I take the NCD I have earned as a named driver to another insurance company or is it only usable with directline?

I have brought another scoob and intend to use the second set of NCD to insure it but direct line always ask for a tracker and so id like to go try where.

Thanks in advance

Andy

Hi Andy,

The "named driver" introductory NCB from direct line will only be acceptable to Direct line i'm afraid.

It's a marketing exercise to attract other drivers upon policies that are with direct line to also join them.

However, 65% NCB will probably save you more than the cost of a tracker so it may still be worth it.

Kind regards

Tony
