Default Modified WRX or standard STI ?

Just out of interest, what would cost more to insure, a modified WRX with a sports cat and ecutek or a standard STI. If both cars have around the same performance, would the STI be cheaper because it's standard.

when I was looking for my insurance both a wrx and an sti were within £30 of each other so I would say std sti, but it all depends on your experience with performance cars and a lot of other factors.

Considering the performance difference between a WRX and an STI I would have expected a bigger difference than £30 which would suggest the high insurance premiums are because of the risk of being stolen rather than the performance of the cars.

If they are worth about the same, same risk ?

P.S. Better brakes mean I have to say STI...but then I would.
