Default Insurance on a Spec C/Type 25

Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me if the Spec C's or Type 25's are classed as Jap imports when it comes to insuring them? Or are they classed as UK models. Just wondering if you can ring up Ie, Direct line and get a quote or wold you have to go to a specialist.

I might be thinking of aquiring one

Cheers Alex

The Spec C is definitely an Import and you have to tell the insurance company, not sure about the Type 25, but most of them start life as a JDM imports, so...

I'm just under £600 for my Spec C, 28, full NCB, that's with NU.

Try A-Plan. They're aware of special models, mods etc. The only co. i spoke to at the time that knew about the TSL333.

They're both imports, A-Plan understand exactly what a T25 is and are happy to cover them. Mine costs about £700 a year

I have my Spec C Type-RA insured with Direct Line. I stated it was a Japanese import, told them the exact model and they were happy with it. I'm paying £2800.

Thanks. Took a lot of college, years of sacrificing weekends in to do effing homework whilst my mates went on the **** etc etc but now it has paid off. Fully employed by the way. Self employment would do me no favours at all, I would just lie in bed all day and become a bum, I know it.
