Smile Confused.com help me save £££'s

Got my insurance renewal from my local broker, £620. 43yr old, 60% protected NCB, 1 claim 2 yrs ago, '07 WRX SL UK, Pro drive back box. Was just over £500 for my previous '01 WRX. Thought it was a bit steep. Checked confused.com, got 2 quotes (lot's of insurers won't cover Channel islands) Elephant £471 (no courtesy car), Admiral £487.

Spoke to my broker, who contacted my existing insurer. They dropped renewal to £490. Well happy to renew with them at that price. They were really good with my claim. Without checking online would of paid £620, as next cheapest quote I got locally was nearly £1200!

"Because it's a Subaru", according to the broker, who suggested getting a 2nd hand Porsche because the insurance would be much cheaper!
