insurance for 27 year old with 6 points
Can anyone recommend a company that will not charge me the earth for insuring a scoob.
I am 27 (28 in Feb) and have been driving for 10 years. Until February this year i have been on my dads insurance on Directline. In feb i bought a civic type r and got insurance in my own name. I have so far had no claims since Feb. I racked up 6 points on my license last year (3 points in july for an SP30 and 2 points in Dec for a TS10).
I am thinking about getting a scoob STI blobeye but so far everyone is quoting £2k upwards. I feel this is way too high and know that my points will be adding a wee bit to the insurance but come on over £2k.
I will be putting my dad on the insurance who is 60.
Is £2k and over typical form my circumstances or can anyone recommend someone who may be able to beat it????
thanks
Chris

ok my insurance company am with wont insure me for a scoob and i am due for renewal on 15th feb ideally i would like to change to a scoob the now before my renewal but i don't have my full years no claim bonus until 15th Feb does this matter? Will insurance companies take this on board and giv e me the full years no claims bonus the now or will i be back to square one and have no no claims bonus if i changed the now?????
My road tax is up at end of month so ideally want to change to a scoob the now before i have to fork out another road tax payment.
