So anyone going to the Santa Pod Jap car show this weekend???

Me and my brother are taking our cars up, and just bought really good track day cover insurance at the event.

Im taking my scooby and my brother is taking his Impala!!!

Its a 1/4mile straight line race?

 

Pretty much all companies will exclude timed events, but in all the years i have been to Santa Pod the only car i have seen crash is the jet car, so i think the chances of having a claim are very remote.

So did you go this year?

I went yesterday, and the high light of the timed race was a bright yellow skyline that blew its engine just before it pulled off, and managed a fantastic 39 MPH.Legend.......lol

 

Yeah i was up there. Left at 4 o'clock, but didn't get out the gate till gone 5!!!

Was a good day, but a bit disappointing that there were no Subaru's in the pro or even street class this time round.

It was my first time going and I really enjoyed watching the stunt drivers, and the jet car was very cool.

My brother and I left at 3:00ish, Had to feel sorry for a poor Evo driver who had ploughed his car threw a field and looked rather stuck, about a mile down the road from the event.

Was a fun day, and will go again.....
