Hi all.
Wasnt sure where to post this so thought maybe here as suppose something to do with insurance.
Ive had the car about 18 months now and insurance is due next month, so was going through paperwork and was reading my V5 and down the bottom under special notes, it says,

1. Declared New in GB by Independant Importer.

Obviously the car is an import, but because it was first registered in the UK, does it make it a UK model for insurance purposes, or is it still the higher group due to it being a JDM car?

Just wondering, because brother said, never know, might be able to save a few quid on insurance.
