Swapped MY06 2.5 WRX for 04 Sti type UK and also decided to add PPP and found insurance company I was with wouldn't cover me, Zurich. Checked around online and found standard Sti around £400 - £450 (I'm 50 and full no claims) with various companies, but as soon as PPP included most jumped to £700 - £780, this after phone calls I hasten to add. Then I found L & V and they actually quote online with PPP at £667 (with no claim protection), I double checked with phone call and job done. Whats your opinions?

L&V used to be really good for Scoobs. Weren't bothered about mods and wouldn't add silly premiums, even used to pay out on all mods declared. I think there were a few too many big claims over 04-06 as they got scared and started upping prices or refusing cover to many come renewal. A-Plan and Keith Michaels are favoured right now.

Ive been with L&V for about 5 years had a modded Vectra ( inc Nos) which they covered very well, and they were ok when I wanted the scoob,
I was allowed 3 cars on the same policy (still have 2) but they dont seem to allow this now either.

L&V won't insure modded cars now, if you have an exsisting policy with them your ok, but they won't do a brand new policy if you have modded it.

Yep, purchased my 1998 scoob 2 years ago and L&V wouldn't cover it then either with mods - PPP, with bodystyling kit, alloys, suspension, quickshift etc etc all mods declared. They said if the car had the mods before it was registered then it was OK - PPP's go on after registration.

Went with Markerstudy via A PLan in the end.
