Just had a renewal quote on my imported MY 1993 WRX
with the following modifications:

HKS induction filter, after-market dump valve, wide bore stainless steel exhaust and adjustable suspension. Cat 1 alarm fitted. And a rolling road statement of bhp.

So I've been quoted £1100 (from Norwich Union and about £300 up on the current year)which as an over 50 driver with a clean licence and 5 yrs no-claims bonus I find a cheek. I live in a WN postcode, do 20,000 miles a year and keep the car on my drive.
So can anyone suggest a better offer for us older persons !
Or have I reached the stage where we get charged more for our age !

Chris

I am also over 50 and was insured with Norwich Union for a few years when I had Saab cars but when I changed to a Subaru the premiums shot up by nearly £400 a year so looked round for a more reasonable figure and found that NFU quoted me £660 for a 96 UK 5dr Turbo with exhaust mods and I live in South London.

So have given the NFU my business now.

Andy.
