Default Insurance on new WRX with no tracker?

My folks are getting their new WRX on Wednesday but their current ins company (privilege) won't cover them without a tracker.

Which decent (I know there are no 'decent' insurers, but still... ) companies out there will cover a WRX and not require a tracker?

Just asking here as it could save them a morning of phonecalls to get it sorted

Thats for a 37 y/o bloke and 50 something year old lady, low crime area etc.

I used confused.com and ended up with admiral £700 for 03 wrx for myself and wife with 6 points and zero no claims. Tracker would have lowered it but not required for them to indsure me.

AS a matter of interest does everyone tell their insurance companies about and mods on their cars. Mine is standard at the moment but thinking of doiing some work.

Mine is £340 with directline. I have a Tracker (RAC Trackstar) which saved me £300 over the insurer i was with (Elephant i believe it was) So paid for the tracker.

That me 38 + wife 35 on an O3 WRX SL Wagon in Evesham, Worcestershire which is just south of Birmingham...

IMO You should get a tracker fitted. At least you may get the car back if you are unlucky enough to get the car nicked!!!!

I'm 42, the wife 40, for a 6 year old car worth £7k doesn't make sense.

Always better to be safe than sorry, cars like these will always be checked to see if they have been fiddled with

When I first got my scoob insured you couldn't seem to get them insured without a tracker, but there are a few companies who do now.
Tesco, my first insurer, were alot cheaper with a tracker. Insure with A Plan now and its £427 without the tracker

No point for my folks, it'll be a business contract hire for just a year, they don't care what happens to it

It's arriving Friday, think I'm more excited about getting to have a go driving it than they are
