Challenge churchill

So far Churchill have been my cheapest quote but im 29 so didnt have any problems. Have you tried moneysupermarket.com, quite a good site for car insurance, I found it better than confused.com !

These offers aren't always what they're cracked up to be.
Privilege did the same 'offer' a while back and couldn't beat my renewal quote, when i mentioned about the 'offer' they beat it by a £1 and the excess' were much higher than my current insurer!!
Not saying Churchill are the same but...........

Here's the mail I send to churchill when they sent me one inviting me to "challenge" them.
Hi,
Many thanks for your email inviting me to obtain a quote "Guaranteeing" to beat my renewal quote.
Unfortuantely, once I had obtained a quote online - I found that Churchill didn't even come close to matching my renewal, let alone beat it.. Churchill also insisted on a tracking device before insuring me for theft, which my current insurer will gladly do without such a device.
Not overly impressed with the guarantee to be honest. I mean, it's a bit like Tony Blair "guaranteeing" there are WMD in Iraq. Or Sven Goran Erricsson "Guaranteeing" England would win the World Cup. All very nice in principle, but not going to happen really.
Here's one...
"I will not be using Churchill insurance unless they lower thier quote by £100 and remove the necessity for a tracking device to be fitted to my vehicle before they will cover me for theft"
Now *that's* a guarantee..
Kindest Regards
Pete Brant

have you ever been "quoted happy" by norwich union....? can't remember exact details but when i first bought my impreza, admiral (my insurers at the time) wanted £600 odd pa and NU wanted £2,500!!! needless to say i wasn't very happy so i pay no attention to ads like this - although churchill does look like a very friendly little doggy
