Default cheap insurance for 17 year old on a micra

hello i am having difficulties getting insurance for my younger brother he is 17 and has just passed his test so i have bought him a nissan micra and trying to get him insurance but getting quotes near 1600 quid, which in my opinion is sky high. im looking to spend about 1000 pound. anyone know where i can go.

its unlikely you will get cheap insurance for a 17 year old, just doesnt seem to happen these days.

Have you looked into pass plus - this could save you up to 25% with quinn or ecarinsurance.Elephant Direct Line & Churchill are also in the scheme but you will need to telephone them for their prices.

Also make sure they quote you for a 12 month pol as alot of the above do 10 month policies.

If the 17-19 year olds were to drive with any common sense they wouldn't pay so much.

Insurance is high for under 19 year olds for a reason.
