Cat d insurance write off
How much difference to the price of a car thats as been cat d listed by insurance company make. Car is 55 wrx sti for sale on scoobynet and he as listed car at £12750, or should I stay away and just wait for a clean example.

wait. Cat = reapairable but insurer opted out (minor damage) to be a write off that means that over £12500 at least of damage was done to the car. Doesn't sound that minor!

Not always the case. Cat D can refer to a car thats been stolen recovered. The insurers have settled the claim prior to the car being recovered. May have suffered no damage but is classed as Cat D
