Default Admiral and PPP

Just phoned Admiral to see how much it would put my insurance up by to get a PPP fitted on my STI.They want another £115 for the four months left on my policy.Only paid £411 comp with PNC last year for the standard car. They also say that it is a mod and if the car is damaged or stolen they will not replace any of the PPP parts.Explained to them what the PPP was a Subaru dealer fit kit and they had it up on the screen but said that it was still a mod.Dont think I will bother now.

Just change the model to WRX STI (301 BHP) - they have that listed

Tried to explain that to the boy but he was saying that the 301PS was a new car and I was modifying mine.Told him that there was no such thing as a new 301PS STI and they were all standard 261PS STIs fitted with the PPP after being registered but I was wasting my time.
Got an online quote from Privilige for a WR1 which is roughly worth the same and has the same bhp as they dont list the STI PPP and it came out at £438.

I'm currently with Admiral - one of the few who would sort me out (lost all of my no-claims bonus when I went to the States), however I shall be moving companies at the end of my current policy for similar reasons.

I'm also with Admiral and can confirm they're definately not mod-friendly, they charged me an additional £50 for an STi backbox then told me they would only replace the standard part, also £15 just for changing to a personalised plate.
