Thumbs up would a cat c car cost more to insure?

I've seen a car I like and it could be a bargain (ebay) it is recorded as a cat c,
would the insurance company charge more for it than a non cat c car?

cheers
Taffy

Some companies would not insure you to start with but you could probably get it insure for the standard price but any total loss payout woud be significantly reduced by possibly 25%.

It would have to be an amazing saving to get a cat C car. With a performance motor i wouldn't want one that might not be all that good in the safety department.

totally agree with you there,

its creeping up now, so I think I'll give it a miss

it was an integra type r, up for 3.5k untill just now, s reg 80k on the clock, it seems a bargain though,

just to add it went for £3550, I couldnt go through with it, I wish I went to see it first
