Default A Plan saved me £400 from L & V Quote

Male Age 47
Wife age 40 (named driver)
27 years NCB
No Convictions
No accidents
Car garaged at night, when at home address (not a requirement with L & V)
£400 excess (£500 with L & V)
Legal protection
Courtesy car
Protected no claims bonus

Bad post code.

Car: Subaru Impreza Turbo STi MY06, standard car.

L & V Frizzell - £1053

A-Plan - £629

Thanks to Anne Therese Breslin at A-Plan, Thatcham branch, Tel 01635 874646.

Gary Moulson at Keith Michaels was very close, but Anne came in with a slightly better offer.

I had been with L & V for 4 years, but they wouldn't budge on price, and kept increasing each year.

It does appear that loyalty to one insurance company costs you money!!!

Cheers

bigknd,
I was paying £955 last year with L & V on my STi MY02 PPP, which I had owned and insured from new with L & V., so £1053 was to be expected.
But why do they just keep upping their prices, even though I don't claim!!!

Its only when I read on here the significantly lower quotes people with less experience (younger), less NCB, more points/accidents were getting.
My post code is one of the worst, but not the worst.

I got rid of my PPP STi because I despised the circus it became every year for insurance.
It was almost like admitting you had a dose of the clap when you had to say 'YES' when they ask is the car modified.

You could literally hear the change gingling in their tills.

Its so much nicer to say NO its not modified.

And even sweeter when I know that in reality its pretty well just as fast as my old PPP car. (figures from Prodrive site confirm that in many instances my std car matches or beats my MY02 PPP).

Cheers

Know what you mean, I was with L&V when I first had my WRX as they were so called MOD friendly, but a year later and my premium whent up by £300 through no changes in my circumstances what so ever, hence went with A Plan since and no one has got near ever since exspecially now that PPP is added.
Most other insurance companies have no idea what PPP is but A plan are on the ball and get my vote at least
