Insurance for Wrx import 24 year old

Insurance for Wrx import 24 year old
Hello all
I have looked at a few WRX imports today and am very keen to get myself behind the wheel of one!!
HOWEVER!! the insurance man has other ideas. Does this sound right. Insurance will be in the name of my gf who has 5 yrs ncb, no convictions between us, only 1 claim but we received all costs back for that (not at fault), only asking TPFT doing 3000 miles a yr and not including to and from work.
Cheapest i have found is £1557? surely this cant be right, but if it is i might have to wait till i am 25!
