Insurance in Manchester

Insurance in Manchester
Anybody know any firms who do decent insurance in Manchester? Despite living in a nice suburb, Greenlight won't quote for the area and Keith Michael's were more than £200 more than the best I've had.
Best without a tracker is £709 from A Plan, despite me being 34, no claims or convictions and full no claims discount. I'm also a member of the IAM, not that anyone seems to care. They're intersted if you do anything to increase the risk, but if you try and improve your driving, they couldn't care less.
If I don't get the cost down, I can't justify the extra and I'll be buying a Golf GT TDI 150

I am 47 years old, with 26 years no claims and a clean licence.
I live near Manchester.
In a voice like the Monty Python 'Yorkshire men sketch' 'I used to dreeeem of getting a quote of £709'.
(Its the eating a handful of cold gravel for tea and living in a shoebox sketch)
Its a bargain take it.
Cheers
MTR (currently paying £955 on a STi MY02 + PPP)

Went back to A-Plan to ask about cost with a tracker - £489 and £529 without. Not sure why its gone down so much, but I'm out shopping this week.
