Keith Michaels, refund!
This post is really for Gaz as Keith Michaels but my pm is playing up. Any news on my insurance refund as nothings been received this week?
While i'm on the subject Keith Michaels are extremely good however be careful if your only planning to keep your car for a short time. After owning the Scoob for just under 2 months i've lost 35% of my premium .
I'm taking this on the chin as i should of read the small print, neither or less great service but just something to be weiry of from all insurers not just KM.

Have spoken to Jez today and asked him to chase up the insurers, should have a refund sorted next week.
Bit late in this case, but PLEASE speak to ME (Gary Moulson) when getting a quote from us. I specialise in Subaru's, and i try my hardest to get very good quotes and provide as good a service as posible!!!
(All insurers do charge a bit extra to cancel a policy, but i think you'll find we're nowhere near as bad a another company who's name pop up here a lot!!!)

Yeah, totally agree mate. KM are one of the best for Customer Service, most of that down to you
Just thought i would highlight the cancellation charge for all insurers not targeting KM at all. I will be coming back.

Like Gary, we are also a broker that deals with a number of underwriters.
Although most will cancel on a pro-rata (daily basis) after renewal, due to the lions share of the admin being in the first year with policy set up each respective Underwriter will have their own cancellation scale.
This will be advised within the policy document, proposal form (contract) and also upon the Insurer Key Facts summary sheet.
After arranging a policy, under the distance marketing directive you will always have 14 days to assess all applicable terms and conditions of that policy, so ensure that you read the policy detail thoroughly and check with your Broker/Insurer for clarification wherever unsure.
When considering a change of Insurer at renewal, please be aware that if you are planning to cancel your policy shortly after renewal you may be better off staying where you are.
We would always advise you to carefully weigh up the options prior to committing to a new contract. When obtaining a quotation for you, your broker/Insurer will always provide the best rate and cover combination for your circumstances at the start of the policy, unless you make them aware of your future intentions within the forthcoming Insurance year.
So, the moral of the story and the safest thing to do would be to make your new Insurer aware and check the cancellation scales contained within the documentation received.
Here endeth the waffle...
Kind regards
Tony
