Default L&V....oh dear!!!!

renewal came throo last week from l&v........last year £670.
this year £730!!!! im 36 my partner is 33.full no claims living in surrey for a MY00 turbo no mods
tried Aplan,bit better with £640
but keith michaels came throo with £530.
phoned l&v to cancel,asked if they could match my best price
and the chap on the phone said "ha ha,not even going to bother trying mate!".thats service for you.
keith michaels.well worth a phone call.

same ere m8 last year 750 this year 900 im 38 but im not complianing as the cars a sti v5 import with loads of mods oh im fully com

Snap!

Gone up to £870 this year for MY94 import wagon. ! From £660. No claims.

Asked the guy there why, said across board increases and high risk / spec / power cars bumped up a group!

Also, no longer cover mods.
Had to insist he checked back over my 3 - 4 years with them to see any notes attached to file - eventually did and agreed that as they were on the file, as I had notified mods ( subtle - Engine Mods, Brake mods, Fuel mods, Suspension mods - nothing specific on their list!! ) then they would continue to offer cover as they had automatically sent the renewal based on their stored facts.

Aparently they lost loads of money paying out on heavily modded cars ( including ICE set ups ) where mods were worth far more than car !!! So stopped doing it now except for toe bar, wheels or disability required mods!


Anyone else easy with covering mods???

try norwich union bud

i know a couple both 30 , he's only been driving 2 years , both insured on a 94wrx is alot less than your £530 . . . .

For me L&V went up from £781 to £1300! No claims or convictions. They really want to ditch those still on an 'any mods allowed' policy.
