Default Insurance for MY03 STI PPP

Hi, I’m looking to get a quote on a MY03 STI PPP.

I know theres been a lot of discussion on here regarding insurance companies not quoting on these as they regard them as modified motors.

Does anyone know of the companies who recognise the STI PPP and will quote on it?

I’m in my 30’s and have a decent driving history so I usually get a better quote from the likes of Direct line, etc, than I do from the specialist insurers. In fact I’ve got a superb quote from Direct Line for a STI and a WR1 (with only £45 between them) - but they dont seem to quote for a STI PPP which is kind of in-between!!!
I’ve tried the highly recommended A-plan but they were way more than Direct Line.

So if anyone knows any companies quoting on the STI PPP I would be most grateful…
Cheers, Carl.

Thanks for the suggestions lads ….. what a nightmare though !!!!!

Been on the phone for a while this morning and it seems the specialists such as A-plan and Greenlight do know about the PPP and will quote straight off.

The more mainstream companies either - don’t have the PPP down and have to enter it as a performance mod and hence sky high premiums - or – just quote it as the ‘Prodrive’ edition for the same money as the standard STI (but I’m sure they are getting mixed up here with the MY02 ‘Prodrive Style’)

So bloody frustrating as Direct line only want £45 extra for a WR1 over an STI but want £370 extra for an STI PPP !!!!!!!! as they have to enter the PPP as percentage power increase.
